For this project, I created my own original typeface called Junimo, inspired by my favorite game Stardew Valley. The Font was designed using a grid system in Adobe Illustrator, which includes 26 uppercase letters, 26 lowercase letters, numbers 0-9, and punctuation. My goal was to make a typeface that felt playful, soft, and nostalgic, while still being structured and readable. I researched the evolution of letterforms to help guide my design decisions but made sure to keep the personal feel and the connection to the world that inspired it. Along with the typeface, I also designed a poster inspired by the loading screen of Stardew Valley to display my type font and demonstrate how the letters work together in a sentence and as a complete set. The result is a fun, cohesive design that reflects both my inspiration and my own creative style.
