The Pattern Keeper

In this piece, The Pattern Keeper, I focused on exploring various ways to incorporate line into my artwork. The goal was to understand how line quality, movement, and variety can create texture, depth, and expression through different line weights and styles. I strived to make the lines feel balanced and expressive while showing how they can build patterns, value, and a sense of space. The work was done on an 18 x 24-inch paper using Micron pens and Sharpies, creating a composition that highlights the expressive and structural possibilities of lines.
